Quick answer: Hunter x Hunter chapter 430 has no release date yet. Yoshihiro Togashi announced on October 15, 2026 that he finished the manuscript of chapter 429; chapter 430, the last one of the current batch, is in its final production stage. Weekly Shonen Jump has not announced when the series resumes.
Hunter x Hunter fans have learned to follow Togashi’s posts on X as closely as the chapters themselves. Here is where the manga stands, chapter by chapter.
Hunter x Hunter progress tracker
| Chapters | Status |
|---|---|
| 411 to 420 | Completed |
| 421 to 427 | Completed or nearly completed (per Togashi’s updates) |
| 428 | Manuscript finished (September 15, 2026) |
| 429 | Manuscript finished (October 15, 2026) |
| 430 | Final production stage (last chapter of the batch) |
On October 5, 2026, Togashi also said he would stop taking commissions to focus on his manuscripts.
When will Hunter x Hunter return?
Nobody knows yet. Togashi has asked fans to wait for Weekly Shonen Jump’s official announcement. Historically, Jump announces a return a few weeks in advance, once a full batch of chapters is ready. Since chapter 430 closes the current batch, an announcement could come soon after it is finished, but any date you see online right now (including “early 2027”) is speculation.
